Today, I want to discuss different ways to organize your coupons.
How many times have you had to dig through the bottom of your purse to look for a coupon that you know you clipped? I know it has happened to me and my guess is that if you haven’t decided on a way to organize your coupons, it has happened to you too! If you would like to finally get all those coupons organized in one place, here are some options:
Envelope Method
Write your grocery list on the front of a white envelope and then include the coupons you intend to use on that trip inside. You can have a different envelope for each store in which you shop.
Pros~ it is simple & will fit into your purse
Cons~ if you stumble upon a deal you weren’t expecting, you might not have the coupon you need!
Accordion File
You can pick up an accordion file at just about any store and they are super-easy to organize. Just place your coupons in the divided sections according to what ever order/categories work best for you.
Pros~ Able to fit all your coupons in one place & will easily fit into your purse
Cons~ You can’t see all your coupons at one time. You will have to hand pick through the sections and have a chance at dropping some while in the store.
Insert File System
If you are someone who doesn’t like to clip all your coupons each week, this is the system for you. You can simply clip the coupons as you need them. See Grocery Shop for FREE’s Video tutorial on how to put together a file system.
Pros~ You will be able to find coupons you need when you search by the insert type and date.
Cons~ You won’t be able to carry the whole filing system with you to the store.
Binder Method
While I started out with the accordion method, I have found that the Binder Method works best for me. I can easily take it with me where ever I go and find the coupons I am looking for easily. Pros~ You can find the coupon you are looking for easily
Cons~ You have to put new coupons in weekly and have to clean it out at the end of each month
