Winter can be a great time to find name brand sweaters for reasonable prices at your local thrift stores. When looking for sweaters to sell, be sure to look at the fabric. I have found that Cashmere sells fast and for top dollar! As you can see from the listing above, this Ralph Lauren sweater (purchased for $4.59) sold in my eBay store for $40. I was lucky enough to find 3 of these sweaters in various colors on the same scouting trip!
Why does cashmere sell so well on eBay? It is considered a luxury fabric that is not readily available in all parts of the world. Do a completed listing search for it on eBay and you will see for yourself.
Be sure to look over your Cashmere item carefully because people will sometimes get rid of them because they have an imperfection. Even if you find a cashmere item with a blemish, don’t write it off. There are buyers who will purchase imperfect cashmere to use it for other purposes, like crafts. Just be sure to clearly state and photograph the imperfection in the listing.
