One of the easiest ways to earn money for your school is through the Box Tops for Education Program. For each Box Top turned into your child’s school, the school gets .10. Now, that might not seem like much but in a school of 800, if each child just turned in 20 box tops in one school year, your school would receive $1600. Imagine the possibilities!
Where do you find Box Tops? Box Tops can be found on nearly hundreds of products. Even if you don’t ever purchase the Box Tops participating products (which I find highly unlikely), you can ask your family members or neighbors to save their Box Tops for you. Imagine how many you can collect!
To help get your kids involved, the Box Tops for Education Program has these great printable sheets for kids to attach their box tops. It is a great project for the kids to work on and gets them involved in making a difference in their school. Over the summer, I use it as part Art project, part Math lesson. The kids love it! Don’t have kids in school? You can always donate your box tops to a school in your community. Just put them in a ziploc bag & drop it by/mail it to the school office! What ever you do, don’t throw them away!
If your school isn’t participating in this program, they should be taking advantage of this money making opportunity! Join and learn about becoming a school coordinator.

Happy Thrifty Thursday! It would be awesome if everyone participated and many schools wouldn’t have to worry about so many budget cuts.
You can even save them if you are in a homeschool group! We did that last year and received about $70 for the year. http://ourhomeschoolreviews.blogspot.com/2010/09/thrifty-thursday_09.html
Box Tops can’t always buy what every school needs, but they can help with some things! Our school is great about redeeming them to help with supplies!
I had no idea that Home Schoolers could use them. Awesome!
