Moving from Blogger to WordPress Successfully

by Kristi on June 3, 2011

how to move from Blogger to WordPressWhen I began blogging in January of 2009, I started with the Blogger platform and really enjoyed how very user-friendly it is for beginners. It has come along was since then, but still has it’s share of issues. One being how “google bots” and mislabel your blog as SPAM and shut it down immediately. While this never happened to me, I saw it happen to several blogs I followed. It scared me enough to make me move to WordPress.

I am someone who finds comfort in what I know and the idea of moving to Word Press not only scared me, it totally intimidated me! I am not techie and don’t deal well with change, so I was hoping to find someone who would help me make the move. Many of my blogging friends suggested that I contact Sharon of Good, True, and Beautiful to help me make the move.

Before contacting her, I checked out her blog where she described the benefits of  WordPress. I was sold.  With in a few weeks of contacting her, she not only helped me get set up, but coached me through the process of using WordPress and Thesis. Her guidance was instrumental in my blog being as successful as it is today.

If you are considering making a move to WordPress, you need to check out Sharon’s new e-book, How to Move from Blogger to WordPress.  In this e-book she guides you through the entire process of transitioning your blog from Blogger to WordPress, explaining everything you need to know to make your move smooth.

You know me, I would never endorse anything that I didn’t believe in.  You can get an idea of what it is all about by  downloading the first chapter for FREE. I’m sure after you read it that you will want to read the rest.

Good post. Whenever I do consulting and see someone using Blogger, the first thing I tell them is to migrate over to Wordpress!
